What is Human in the loop?
Human in the loop is a design pattern where an automated system handles the routine cases on its own and hands specific cases to a person: low-confidence extractions, unusual requests, high-value decisions. It is how you get most of the speed of full automation while keeping accountability where it matters.

Designing the handover
A good handover gives the person everything the system knew: the original input, what was extracted or proposed, and why it was flagged. Reviewing should take seconds, not minutes, or people start rubber-stamping.
